Gracious Father,

As it is written: forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven.
Your faithfulness endures to all generations; You established the earth and it abides.
They continue this day according to Your ordinances, for all are Your servants.

Thank You for Your inerrant word, and for revealing it to us in the Genesis account of creation through to the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Thank You for Your Spirit’s witness to our hearts and minds, and for the strength to stand uncompromisingly on the plain truth of Your word.

O Father, give us the grace to temper our zeal for Your word and for defending the faith once delivered to all the saints, with the fruit of the Spirit which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

Let us remember that we have nothing that we did not receive from You by Your grace, and that You are working Your purposes in the lives of all Your people according to Your perfect plan.

Most of all we pray that You will let Your glory unfold mightily even in the here and now. Let Your church arise to stand strong against the compromise of Your word, as Your kingdom come and Your will be done.
