Heavenly Father, author of all grace and comfort, by Your Holy Spirit, work repentance in my soul. Represent sin to me in all its odious colors that I may hate it. Melt my heart by Your majesty and mercy. Show me my ruined self and the help there is in You. Teach me to behold You as my Creator, to behold Your ability to save, Your arms outstretched and Your heart big for me. Cause me to confide in Your power and love, to commit my soul to You without reserve, to bear Your image, observe Your laws, pursue Your service, and be through time and eternity a monument to the efficacy of Your grace in Christ. Make me walk in Him, depend upon Him, commune with Him, be conformed to Him, and follow Him. Forgive my sins in light of His cross and cleanse me from all unrighteousness.
